Last Saturday, we held a bridal shower in honor of my cousin. The theme was “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. It was complete with a Tiffany Blue cake, guests in their little black dresses, hair up in a bun, and let’s not forget the pearls. A tent out in the backyard provided a much needed shade from the blistering heat of the sun. The guests enjoyed delicious food including quiches, frittatas, fruit tarts, yogurt parfait, and so much more. For refreshments we served punch, of course in Tiffany blue, and an elegantly setup self-serve mimosa station under the tent.
Every detail was carefully put into place and made the event look like a million bucks, complete with a harpist! Every where you turned, you saw something fabulous. Holly Golightly would have been proud!
Here are some highlights of the bridal shower:
The Matron of Honor made this fabulous Tiffany blue cake. The smaller boxes were given to guests to take home as the souvenir from the event.
Below is the spread of delicious food that everybody enjoyed.
Being the inspiration of the bridal shower, it was only appropriate to play Breakfast At Tiffany’s on the big screen.
Yes. The harpist.
For four hours, or so, it felt like we were in a gorgeous winery instead of a Chicagoland suburb.

The Bride was presented with something old, something new, something borrowed, and below she was surprised with her something blue. Her fiance`, dressed up in a Tiffany blue shirt complete with a beautiful bouquet of blue flowers.
